In the constant effort to increase efficiency and customer service, we have invested in several areas in 2005. We have upgraded our telephone system to allow customers to contact their dedicated person in the sales office direct and the use of individual voice mail will streamline follow up calls when the person is unavailable, this is part of a feature packed system which will prove invaluable in the future.
In June 2005 we went over to the SAP system, leaving Sage Line 50, which incorporated us into the EGLO computer network. This was quite a radical change in systems but the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.
In September 2005 we occupied the new offices within the warehouse. This was essential as we had totally outgrown the previous office space. We now have dedicated offices for accounts and credit control, management, and meeting room which was much needed.
In 2006 we hope to implement a new system for stock location that will utilise space more efficiently in the warehouse and speed up the picking of orders from stock.
Space is always the final frontier and we have, in December 2005 installed a large mezzanine area in the warehouse to maximise storage capabilities.
This web site is also an investment we have made which we hope will be of use to our customers and the public in accessing information and providing vital feedback so we can further improve our service where feasible. Hopefully it will also facilitate more retail traffic to our stockists nationwide via the customer enquiry page.
